45RM4 Series (1000, 1001)
The Fireye Type 45RM4 flame scanners are
self-checking, flame sensing devices. They consist of a lens, photo detector, and a solid-state, frequency tuned circuit contained in a die-cast aluminum housing. When powered by a compatible, self-checking Fireye flame safeguard control, the scanner detects the presence and absence of flames having certain characteristics. The 45RM4 has a 16-position rotary selector to select the ideal flame “flicker” frequency. This is effective in detecting and discriminating Flame ON and Flame OFF conditions on installations where low frequency emissions predominate. |
45UV5 Series (1000, 1010, 1101, 1103)
Fireye Type 45UV5 scanners are self-checking, flame sensing devices. When powered by a compatible, self-checking Fireye control, the scanners detect the presence or absence of flames which emit
ultraviolet radiation (UV). When used with a Fireye amplifier, the 45UV5 scanner provides flame failure protection on single and multi-burner industrial applications such as electric utility boilers, power boilers and large furnaces or incinerators. Also included in the Type 45UV5 scanner is an electromagnetic shutter that permits a self-checking circuit within an associated Fireye control to verify that the scanner and signal circuits are producing valid flame presence or absence information. |
45UV5 Series - (1005, 1007, & 1009)
Self-checking ultraviolet scanners for continuously fired applications where recycling is infrequent or absent. The self-checking circuit checks the electronics and the UV tube for proper operation every four seconds during the firing period. Suitable for fuel gases and oil. Replaceable UV tube and (4-314-1) shutter mechanism (61-2914). Mounting 1" NPT or BSP pipe thread with 8 ft. (2.4m) lead wires. Must be installed with metal shielding over the scanner leads. Explosion- proof housings are available for models 45UV5-1005, 45UV5-1007, and 45UV5-1009.

48PT2 Series - Infrared Scanners
Lead sulfide infrared scanners designed to detect low frequency IR signals from gas or oil flames. Mounting collar is 1/2" NPT with straight or 90 mounts. Available with 4 ft (121.9m) or 8 ft (243.8m) flexible conduit.
Replaceable 4-263-1 sensor cell. The 48PT2 lead sulfide infrared scanner contains a low impedance detector and is designed to detect low flicker frequency IR signals from gas and oil flames. It is designed for use on D Series, Flame-Monitor, FlameWorx and MicroM controls. The 48PT2 scanner comes with cables rated for Tray Cable - Exposed Run (TC-ER) and complies with the crush and impact requirements of the standard for metal clad cable, UL 1569. |
55UV5 Series (1007, 1009)
Fireye 55UV5 self-checking scanners are used to detect ultraviolet emissions
from fossil fuel flames such as natural gas, coke oven gas, propane, methane, butane, kerosene, light petroleum distillates and diesel fuels and are suitable for use in Class I, Div. 2, Groups A, B, C, D and Class II, Div. 2 Groups F and G hazardous locations. These 55UV5 models are used only with the Flame-Monitor, D-Series, FlameWorx and MicroM control models to provide flame safeguard and monitoring systems for supervised manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic single burner boilers, process ovens and heaters. |
